The team of the Roma Center for Women and Children “Daje” is actively working on the preparation of a book on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of this organization.
The aim of this publication is to show the conditions under which the fight against violence began and what that fight looks like today. An integral part of the book will be the experiences of working with beneficiaries who have experienced gender-based violence, which they believe are important for stimulating the work of other youth organizations.
In this way, they will mark their work and look back on good and less good situations and experiences in their long-term work.
Their position is that the media and the general public are not encouraging enough for Romani women because they live with the awareness that what applies to white women does not necessarily apply to them, and that it is important to emphasize that confronting violence is possible for everyone.
